US October ethylene contracts settled for the
majority of the market on Monday at an increase
of 0.75 cent/lb ($17/tonne), mostly driven by
higher spot prices.
Chemours sees
TiO2 destocking cycle over with demand to kick
in by 2020 – CEO
The global titanium dioxide (TiO2) destocking
cycle is essentially over with a demand lift
expected to kick in some time in 2020, the CEO
of US-based producer Chemours said on Tuesday.
INEOS declares FM
on US ethanolamines on EO disruption in
Louisiana
INEOS Oxide declared force majeure (FM) on US
ethanolamines at its plant in Plaquemine,
Louisiana, because of a disruption of ethylene
oxide (EO) supply, according to a customer
letter obtained on Wednesday.
Brazil Braskem
mulls new renewable ethylene, PE
capacity
Braskem is considering expanding its production
of renewable ethylene and polyethylene (PE),
with a a final investment decision (FID)
possible in the first half of 2020, an
executive said on Friday.
