Russia’s LLDPE output up more than 30% in 2019

MOSCOW (MRC)–Russia’s production of linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) stood at 232,300 tonnes in 2019, up by 32% year on year, according to an MRC’s ScanPlast report.
By producers, Kazanorgsintez’s LLDPE output reached 34,900 tonnes last year versus 8,200 tonnes in 2018.
Nizhnekamskneftekhim produced 196,600 tonnes over the stated period, up by 17% year on year.
SIBUR’s ZapSibNeftekhim complex in Tobolsk began selling LLDPE to the domestic market in December 2019.
With production capacity at 700,000 tonnes/year of LLDPE, Russia’s output of the chemical Is expected to increase greatly in 2020.
