MOSCOW (MRC)–Imports of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) into Belarus went up 19% in 2019, year on year, to 38,800 tonnes, according to MRC’s DataScope report.

According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the increase in PVC shipments in 2019 occurred on the back of an increase in purchases by local window producers.

Russian producers, with market share of 82%, were the main PVC suppliers into the Belarusian market.

Producers from Ukraine and Germany, with 8% and 6%, respectively, were the second and third largest suppliers.

MRC, a partner of ICIS, produces polymers news and pricing reports from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
