SINGAPORE (ICIS)–China will exempt from punitive tariffs more US goods for one year from 28 February, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council said on Friday.

The latest list covers 66 types of products, such as wood, laser machines and auto-driving devices, among others. No petrochemicals are included in the list.

Another list in the second batch will be released later, the Commission said.

The first batch of exemption was implemented in two sets in the second half of 2019 – one in September and another in December.

The tit-for-tat US-China trade war started in July 2018 which saw prohibitive tariffs imposed on billions of US dollars worth of goods between the two economic giants.
