PODCAST: Asia Special Report - Glycerine

Author: Jasmine Khoo

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Prices of refined glycerine have almost doubled in value since mid-March, boosted by tight supply and strong demand from Europe and the US. Even though demand from the personal care, food and pharmaceutical industries has remained steady so far, squeezed margins and an uncertain economic outlook are curbing the appetite of buyers in technical sectors.
The gradual easing of movement restrictions in Europe and other parts of the world also led to the expectation that glycerine will become more available going forward.
In this episode of the ICSI Asia podcast, Jasmine Khoo speaks with Jackie Wong, senior editor for the ICIS Asia Pacific Glycerine report on what lies ahead for the market.
