Belarus ABS imports fall 15% in Q1

MOSCOW (MRC)–Imports of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) to Belarus dropped in the first quarter of 2020 by 15% year on year to 1,360 tonnes, according to MRC’s DataScope report.

Belgium, Russia and South Korea were the main importers.

Imports of material from Belgium increased in the first three months of 2020 by 23% year on year, to 550 tonnes, with its market share at 41%, compared to 33% in the first quarter of 2019.

Deliveries of Russian material decreased in the first quarter by 16% year on year to 392 tonnes, with a 29% market share.

Imports of Korean material slumped in January-March by 56% year on year to 231 tonnes, with market share of 17%, down sharply from last year’s 33%.
