PODCAST: US PE demand better than expected in May, packaging industry a bright spot

HOUSTON (ICIS)–US polyethylene (PE) markets may be nearing a trough as demand improves and feedstocks move higher.

Ethane prices continue to climb as sentiment improves and production cuts continue, pressuring US PE.

Meanwhile, the US ethane advantage is weak, although using naphtha as a feedstock has unfavourable co-products.
