Comments: ExxonMobil’s Beaumont facilities “have completed a safe and systematic shutdown of operations” ahead of Hurricane Laura, according to a company spokesman. Beaumont is within Jefferson county, Texas, which is under mandatory evacuation orders. ExxonMobil said its Baytown, Texas, and Baton Rouge, Louisiana “continue to run safely and reliably”. The company continues to monitor and prepare for the storm.
