Ukraine PE imports up 2% in January-August

MOSCOW (MRC)–Polyethylene (PE) imports into Ukraine rose 2% in the first eight months of 2020, year on year, to 182,300 tonnes, according to an MRC’s DataScope report.

Imports of linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) fell 3.8% to 51,900 tonnes in January-August, but all other grades posted increases.

High density polyethylene (HDPE) imports stood at 66,500 tonnes during the period, up 4.2% year on year.

Imports of low density polyethylene (LDPE) were 54,500 tonnes, up 4.4%.

Imports of other PE grades, including ethylene-vinyl-acetate (EVA), stood at 9,400 tonnes, up  from 8,400 tonnes a year earlier.
