Russia raises plastics, fertilizers and ammonia output Jan-Sep

MOSCOW (MRC)–Russia’s total production of plastics, mineral fertilizers and ammonia increased in January-September 2020, according to the government statistics.

Russia’s total production of plastics was 16.4% up year on year at 7.5m tonnes, the Russian statistical agency Rosstat said in an announcement released on Friday.

In January-September, Russia’s total production of mineral fertilizers was 3.5% up year on year at 18.5m tonnes, according to the announcement.

The country’s output of ammonia was 0.4% up year on year at 14.5m tonnes.

Synthetic rubber output was 0.6% down year on year at 1.1m tonnes, said the announcement.

Cords and yarns production was 2.3% down year on year at 138,000 tonnes, it said.
