Russia ups petchem export duties

MOSCOW (MRC)–The Russian government announced on Tuesday that export duties levied on some petrochemical products and crude oil would go up next month.

From 1 February, the duty levied on benzene, xylenes and toluene is set at $13.10/tonne, or up from $11.60/tonne this month, according to an announcement of the Russian Economic Development Ministry.

Next month Russia’s export duty imposed on naphtha will amount to $24/tonne, or up from $21.20/tonne this month.

Russia reviews its export duties levied on petrochemical products on a monthly basis in line with changes of the crude oil export duty. From 1 February, Russia’s export duty imposed on crude oil will amount to $43.80/tonne or up from $38.70/tonne in January.

Russia’s export duty levied on liquefied hydrocarbon gases will amount to $0/tonne in February or unchanged month-on-month.
