Singapore petrochemical exports rise 19% in Feb; NODX up 4.2%

SINGAPORE (ICIS)–Singapore’s petrochemical shipments abroad rose by 19.3% year on year to Singapore dollar (S$) 1.2bn in in February, supporting the overall growth in non-oil domestic exports (NODX), official data showed on Wednesday.
The country’s NODX rose by 4.2% year on year to S$14.1bn in February following the 12.7% expansion a month earlier, Enterprise Singapore said in a statement.
NODX to six of the top 10 markets declined in February but domestic exports to China, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong grew.
Non-electronic NODX, which includes pharmaceuticals and petrochemicals, rose by 3.3% year on year in February following the 12.5% expansion in January this year.
