LONDON (ICIS news)–AMEC has been awarded a five-year consultancy and engineering services contract by the Kuwait National Petroleum Company to upgrade, refurbish and modify the petroleum company’s three plants, it said on Friday.
The company said in a statement that the contract was worth over Dinars (KD) 23.3million ($83.2m).
“The work covers provision of services management, engineering services, including concept and basic design, process and general engineering covering the complete refineries activities,” the company said.
AMEC’s Natural Resources Business, Middle East regional director Craig Muir said this was a key strategic step for AMEC in Kuwait.
“Winning this contract provides us with a broadening area of business in the region where we can deliver international expertise blended with local capacity to deliver exactly what our customers need,” he added.
