US ethylene margins move up on increasing spot prices
US ethylene margins moved up 2.9% week on week for the week ended 16 August, the ICIS margin report showed on Monday.

US tyre, SBR firms see reduced capacities thru 4Q: sources
US tyre and synthetic rubber producers surveyed are operating at reduced capacities and expect to continue doing so through the end of the year, sources said on Wednesday.

US August acrylates prices settle flat on soft fundamentals
US acrylic acid and acrylate esters contract prices settled flat for August as nominal feedstock pressure kept values from weakening amid soft market conditions, sources said on Thursday.

US MEK prices at lowest levels in two years
Spot and contract prices for US methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) are at their lowest levels in two years, and appear to be headed for a roll over at the end of August, and sources said on Friday that the US market was flat because of demand.
