LONDON (ICIS)–The US October mixed xylene (MX) contract settled $4.00/gal this week, down 25 cents/gal from September, according to trade sources on Friday.
The October contract was down following direction from the recent drop in aromatics spot prices.
The decline in MX spot prices during September came on the back of lacklustre futures, thin demand and weaker blend values, according to trade sources.
