Turkey's Evyap to start up Malaysian oleochemicals plant in Q4

SINGAPORE(ICIS)--Turkey-based oleochemicals producer Evyap Sabun expects to start commercial production at its new facility in Malaysia by the fourth quarter of 2014, according to a company source on Wednesday.

Plant commissioning will be scheduled around the third quarter, Evyap's source added.  The facility is located in Pasir Gudang, in the sourthern Malaysian state of Johor.

The facility will use palm oil as its primary feedstock and is expected to run at full capacity soon after commercial production is started.

The nameplate capacity of fatty acids is around 280,000 tonne/year, with around 10% of refined glycerine productions.

Other products include toilet and multi-purpose soaps, hydrogenated products, specialised animal feed, hydrogenated products, as well as toilet and multi-purpose soaps.
