LONDON (ICIS)--Air Liquide expects to start up its new steam reformer at the Dormagen chemical park near Cologne, Germany, in the second half of 2014, the French industrial gases major said in an update on Friday.

Air Liquide's €100m plant, with a capacity of 22,000 tonnes/year of hydrogen and 120,000 tonnes/year of carbon monoxide (CO), will supply Bayer MaterialScience’s upcoming toluene di-isocyanate (TDI) plant at Dormagen.

The 300,000 tonne/year TDI plant is due to start up by the end of 2014.
