SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shanxi Ruiheng Chemical has shut down its 200,000 tonne/year polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plant in Shanxi on 15 April for scheduled maintenance, a company source said on Tuesday.

The company operated the plant at 75% capacity before the shutdown, the source added.

The shutdown will last for a week, and the company plans to restart the plant on 22 April, the source said.

Shanxi Ruiheng Chemical also plans to build a new 400,000 tonne/year PVC plant as its second phase of a whole PVC project, but further details have yet to be confirmed.
