MOSCOW (ICIS)--Russia's overall production of mineral fertilizers, plastics and some other chemical products was largely up in the first quarter, the country's statistical agency Rosstat said on Tuesday.
In January-March, the country's total output of mineral fertilizers was up by 12.4% year on year at 5.1m tonnes, according to the agency.
Ammonia output was 4.6% up year on year at 3.9m tonnes, it said. Plastics output was 3.3% up year on year at 1.6m tonnes, the agency said.
Meanwhile, Russia's total output of phenol was down by 6.5% year on year at 69,100 tonnes, Rosstat said. Methanol output was 9.4% down year on year at 3.6m tonnes, the agency said.
