HOUSTON (ICIS)--Fertilizer producer CF Industries (CF) announced on Monday that its entire Woodward, Oklahoma, nitrogen complex is offline due to a problem in one of the boilers.
The producer said in a statement that once the mechanical issues were detected all of the plants in the complex were safely shut down with no impact on personnel, the surrounding community or the environment.
CF estimates that it will take approximately 6-8 weeks to return the plant to normal operations. During this time of the outage, the company will go ahead and execute the turnaround maintenance activities at the facility that had previously been scheduled for June.
As far as impact to deliveries, the company said its sales organisation is communicating with customers to work through product availability and delivery schedule implications with no further details available at this time.
