HOUSTON (ICIS)--Etimine USA is studying the feasibility of a $200m plant in Louisiana that will produce boron-based chemicals, the state's governor said on Friday.
The plant will be on the west bank of the Mississippi river in St John the Baptist parish, said Bobby Jindal, governor. Capacity was not revealed.
Etimine expects to make a decision in the first quarter of 2015, Jindal said. If Etimine pursues the project, construction could start that same quarter, and the plant could open by early 2018.
Etimine USA is a subsidiary of Turkey-based Eti Mine Works.
