Upset hits styrene unit at Styrolution’s Texas site

HOUSTON (ICIS)–Styrolution said on a community hotline on Thursday that its Bayport plant in Pasadena, Texas, had a styrene unit upset.
The hotline message went on the say that there could be some intermittent use of the plant’s safety flare for a few hours as the plant was being stabilised and started back up.
The Styrolution Bayport plant has a styrene capacity of
770,000 tonne/year, according to ICIS plants and
projects.
