SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan-based Ube industries will be restarting its 100,000 tonne/year capro unit in Yamaguchi, Ube City, in the first week of June after a maintenance, according to the company source on Tuesday.
The maintenance lasted a month-long while persistent weak capro market conditions had discouraged an earlier restart of the plant, added the source.
The company has a 97,000 tonne/year capro plant in Castellon, Spain, that is scheduled to return from a turnaround around the same period of time. It also has a 130,000 tonne/year plant in Rayong, Thailand, that will be going for a turnaround starting in June.
