Urea prices in Shandong, east China, are in narrow fluctuations on 3 July. EXW offers are mostly at yuan (CNY) 1,500-1,520/tonne ($241.2-244.4/tonne) for prilled urea. EXW offers from producers in the southern parts of Shandong are higher than those from producers in the northern parts. However, several producers say deals are hampered by high prices. Local producers mainly sell their cargoes in the province. Demand from the local agricultural sector is modest and some producers fulfil the previous orders. EXW prices are mostly at CNY1,570-1,580/tonne for granular urea, with higher levels heard from several producers.
