SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Indian Oil Corp (IOC) plans to shut its 300,000 tonne/year monoethylene glycol (MEG) plant at Panipat in Haryana state for 15 days in mid-August to change its catalyst, a company source said on Thursday.
The company decided to run the plant at lower operating rates until mid-August ahead of the arrival of the parts needed for catalytic change, the company source said.
The MEG plant was shut down from 18-19 June due to a technical fault, and the company brought forward the schedule for the maintenance shutdown.
