LONDON (ICIS)--Fortischem’s chemical operations, including polyols, at its site in the Slovak Republic are expected to undergo a routine plant shutdown in early August, said a company source on Wednesday.
The maintenance is due to last for up to five days, depending on product. The site produces various chemicals, including polyols and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The company source added that contracts will be covered from stocks during the outage period.
The combined nameplate polyols capacity for both flexible and rigid grades at the Slovakian site is 16,000 tonnes/year, according to the company source. Details of nameplate capacities for the other products were not disclosed.
