SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Daqing Petrochemical plans to shut down its 80,000 tonne/year acrylonitrile (ACN) plant and 65,000 tonne/year acrylic fibre (AF) plant in September for 15 days of annual maintenance, a company source said on Tuesday.

The plants are located at Daqing in Heilongjiang province.

Output from the ACN plant is for captive use of the company’s downstream acrylonitrile fibre (AF) plant, which is now running at full capacity,  a market player said.

Domestic July ACN contract has been settled at yuan (CNY) 17,900-18,800/tonne ($2,896-3,042/tonne) DEL (delivered) east China, up by CNY95-450/tonne from June level, according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.
