Russia's seven-month fertilizers, plastics output up year on year

MOSCOW (ICIS)--Russia's overall production volumes of fertilizers and plastics were up in January-July, the Russian statistical agency Rosstat said on Monday.

In January-July 2014, the country's total output of mineral fertilizers was up 10% year on year at 11.7m tonnes,  Rosstat said.

Ammonia output was up 1.8% year on year at 8.7m tonnes, according to the agency.

Production of plastics was 1.5% higher year on year at 3.7m tonnes, while synthetic rubber output was down 13.2% year on year at 757,000 tonnes, according to the agency.

Meanwhile, the country's total output of naphtha was 8.3% higher year on year at 8.7m tonnes, Rosstat said.
