SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Saudi Kayan’s 100,000 tonne/year ethanolamines plant in Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia, has resumed operations during the weekend of 17-18 April, following a regular maintenance, market sources said on Wednesday.

Saudi Kayan, an affiliate of Saudi petrochemical giant SABIC, has restarted its 1.48m tonne/year cracker in Al-Jubail since 11 April after a scheduled turnaround, which commenced on 1 March as part of a complex-wide turnaround.

Separately, the company also restarted its ethylene glycol (EG) and EO facility in Jubail following a scheduled maintenance.

Saudi Kayan can produce 566,000 tonnes/year of monoethylene glycol (MEG) and 550,000 tonnes/year of EO at the Jubail site.
