INEOS declares force majeure on PP and HDPE in France

LONDON (ICIS)–INEOS has declared force majeure on polypropylene (PP) and high density polyethylene (HDPE) from its French sites, a company spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday.

INEOS produces PP and HDPE at Lavera and Sarralbe.

A series of strikes is affecting all eight of France’s refineries. Some sources said it was only a matter of time before more PE and PP units were affected.

Last week, Total Petrochemicals declared force majeure on PP and PE, as well as polystyrene, from its Gonfreville site.
