HOUSTON (ICIS)--Citing challenging market conditions, producer Dyno Nobel announced late Tuesday it has reduced by 10% its workforce at it Cheyenne, Wyoming, nitrogen plant.
Officials said the total number of jobs being eliminated is 15 and that the company is committed to supporting the impacted workers. Those affected were informed of the decision on 12 July and will remain on the job for approximately two more weeks. They will receive severance packages.
“Due to the current challenges Dyno Nobel is facing in some of its markets, and particularly the coal markets, Dyno Nobel has taken action in response to ensure that we meet the expectations of our customers,” said Dyno Noble.Salt Lake City, Utah-based Dyno Nobel manufactures nitrogen-based products for the mining and agricultural industries at the plant located west of Cheyenne.
