MOSCOW (MRC)--Negotiations on European polyvinyl chloride (PVC) prices for September delivery to the CIS markets began this week with all producers announcing a rollover of August prices for September shipments, according to the ICIS-MRC Price Report.

The contract price of ethylene in Europe for September delivery had been agreed at the level of August, which keeps the cost of PVC production the same.

Negotiations on September deliveries of suspension polyvinyl chloride (SPVC) for the CIS markets this week have been done in the range of €735-810/tonne FCA (free carrier), which corresponds to the August level of prices.

There are no significant restrictions on export quotas from producers in September, while in August the Hungarian producer BorsodChem limited its shipments because of scheduled maintenance works.
