HOUSTON (ICIS)–LyondellBasell is performing start-up activities for its Corpus Christi olefins unit in Texas, after a planned turnaround and expansion project, according to a government filing on Monday.

Emissions are expected from 7 November to 7 December, the company said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

LyondellBasell shut down the 771,000 tonne/year cracker in mid-April for scheduled maintenance and a project to expand ethylene capacity at the site by 363,000 tonnes/year.

The restart of the cracker has been delayed twice, but LyondellBasell CEO Bob Patel said last week that the plant is being commissioned and expected to restart in November.
