US propylene inventories decrease for sixth straight week

HOUSTON (ICIS)–US propylene inventories fell by 7.2% in the week ending 3 February, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Wednesday, marking the sixth consecutive decrease.

The decrease came alongside a drop in refinery operating rates.
Propylene inventories are at their lowest since 21 October 2016, when levels were at 3.427m bbl.
However, stockpiles remain 13% higher year on year, with levels at 3.139m bbl in the week ending on 5 February 2016.
