LONDON (ICIS)--EU June commercial vehicle registrations rose by 2.5% year on year, mainly driven by the van and bus segments, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) said on Tuesday.
There were strong rises in Italy (12.7%) and Spain (8.8%) but a significant drop in German demand (-6.7%).
France and the UK saw smaller increases of 2.6% and 2.1% respectively, with the UK showing some recovery after declines in May.
In total, 229,570 commercial vehicles were registered in June.
For the first half of the year, registrations increased by 4.2% year on year to reach a total of 1,221,811 new commercial vehicles.
Spain posted the strongest results over this period (+14.2%), followed by Italy (+8.7%), France (+6.0%) and Germany (+2.1%).See the interactive graph below for specific figures on vehicles registered both across the EU and in individual countries, as well as June’s figures and the 12-month trend.
