MOSCOW (MRC)–Unmixed polyvinyl chloride (PVC) imports into Kazakhstan rose in January-June by 10% year on year to 25,200 tonnes, according to a report by MRC analysts on Tuesday.
In June, imports of unmixed PVC into Kazakhstan grew to 6,600 tonnes, up from 4,500 tonnes a month earlier.
January-June overall imports of PVC reached 25,200 tonnes, up from 23,000 tonnes in the same six-month period of 2016.
Due to Kazakhstan’s geographical position, the country’s main suppliers of PVC were Chinese producers, whose share of the Kazakh market stood at 99% during the reported period.
