Russia’s Poliom resumes PP production

MOSCOW (MRC)–Russian producer Poliom (a joint venture between Titan, SIBUR and Gazprom Neft) has resumed its polypropylene (PP) production after a scheduled maintenance, according to MRC analysts.
The company resumed operations on 7 November, in an outage which started on 26 October, according to sources.
This is virtually the last scheduled maintenance at Russian PP producers this year.
In late October, Stavrolen resumed its PP production after a long shutdown for a turnaround.
As MRC reported earlier, Poliom produced about 161,000 tonnes of PP in the first nine months of 2017, whereas the plant manufactured 202,900 tonnes in the whole of 2016.
