HOUSTON (ICIS)–The third and fourth nominations for December butadiene (BD) contracts were head on Monday for price declines.

Sources said two producers separately nominated a December contract price of down by 6 cents/lb ($132/tonne) from November, which would put contracts at 39 cents/lb.

The nominations come from one producer that nominated a November price of 49 cents/lb and another producer that nominated a November price of 45 cents/b.

The first December BD nomination was at 39 cents/lb, while the second nomination was at 40 cents/lb.

Sources said they expected a decline for December, tracking weaker overseas values, improved supply and some slightly softer demand.

Major US BD producers include ExxonMobil, LyondellBasell, Shell Chemical and TPC Group.
