HOUSTON (ICIS)--US-based DowDuPont announced on Monday corporate brand names for the three divisions that it intends to spin off following its 2017 merger.

As part of its intended separations, DowDuPont has named its agriculture division as Corteva Agriscience, its materials science division as the new Dow, as well as its specialty products division as the new DuPont.

“We are squarely focused on unlocking enhanced cost and growth synergies, delivering on our growth investments and innovation pipeline, and separating into three industry-leading companies on the accelerated timelines we recently announced,” DowDuPont executive chair Andrew Liveris said.

The company said certain product names will change once the separations occur, but many products will continue be sold under their current names.

The materials science division, which is based in Midland, Michigan, will retain the Dow diamond as its brand, DowDuPont said, and will focus on packaging, infrastructure and consumer care.

DowDuPont said the specialty products company, which is headquartered in in Wilmington, Delaware, is well positioned for growth opportunities, citing $21bn worth of pro-forma revenue during 2017.

The Corteva Agriscience brand identity and logo, which were announced on Monday, can be viewed on its website.

Ongoing brand development was being worked on for the materials science and intended specialty products companies, DowDuPont added.

The materials science branch is expected to separate by the end of Q1 2019, while the agriculture and specialty products are set to separate on 1 June, 2019.
