PODCAST: Turkish lira steadies but uncertainty takes its toll

LONDON (ICIS)–After rollercoaster movements since the beginning of August, the Turkish lira stabilised against the US dollar last week but the currency has lost more than 40% of its value year to date.

The resulting volatility in the Turkish financial markets has hit the economy hard, with many sources in the country pessimistic about a prompt return to calmer waters.
