ICIS Webinar: Groningen low-calorific gas (L-gas) production

Low-calorific gas production from the Groningen field in the Netherlands is on course to hit a 10-year low in gas year 2016, due to stringent government restrictions on output. A further cut could see production fall again in gas year 2017, depending on the outcome of a court hearing held in July.

ICIS will analyse the impact of recent production cuts on fundamentals and prices in northwest Europe and examine how seasonal supply flexibility from Europe’s largest gas field has been replaced by other assets.

The webinar will also look at how production and fundamentals could change in 2017 and the outlook for the next decade.

Key highlights

  • Overview and history of recent Groningen production cuts
  • Analysis of changing gas fundamentals and how seasonal supply flexibility has changed
  • Key changes expected to affect gas year 2017 and the longer-term outlook
