Joseph Chang is Global Editor of ICIS Chemical Business, a weekly publication focused on making sense of chemical prices worldwide. George Martin has extensive experience in documentation of technological products, with emphasis on petrochemical and refinery equipment, offshore drilling and production equipment. He is a globally recognized technical journalist specialized in commodity pricing (oil and petrochemicals), market analysis and price forecasting.
George joined ICIS in 2004 as a Senior Editor on Petrochemicals covering polyolefins in Latin America and other regional chemicals and plastics. He became ICIS Deputy Bureau Chief for the Americas in 2006 and joined the ICIS consulting team in 2015. He has reported and analysed crude oil and petrochemical markets since 1994, focusing on Latin America. George also has experience in field construction and process plant piping.
George studied Mechanical Engineering at the Catholic University of Cordoba, Argentina and Information Science (Journalism) at the National University of Cordoba, Argentina. Emigrated to the United States of America in 1976, where he continued education in Data Processing.

Having started on the shop floor and worked up through the ranks of the plastics industry, James Ray brings a unique blend of technical, managerial and analytical experience to his consulting role at ICIS.
He has business advisory experience in the areas of benchmarking, operation cost modeling and activity based costing systems, planning, scheduling and project management, risk assessment, supply and demand analysis, alternate value streams and price forecasting. His purchasing advisory service has generated over 100 million dollars in client savings.
Prior to working for ICIS, James worked for private industry (primarily Capital Management) in manufacturing, converting & recycling polymers for blow molding, extrusion and injection molding as well as textiles. His focus was on improving profitability by working smarter and employing strategies for reducing raw material costs using market intelligence and benchmarking, establishing raw material contracts and aligning with commercial contracts, eliminating waste via Lean Manufacturing and implementing process improvements using Six Sigma Methodology. James holds a degree in computer science from the University of Texas.
