Mobil Chemicals expands OPP

Mobil Chemical's films division is to expand production of oriented polypropylene film (OPP) at Kerkrade, the Netherlands, by 15 000 tonne/year in mid-1998. The additional line will take Mobil's global capacity for flexible packaging film to 227 000 tonne/year, including the material produced on its new Hicor orientated hdPE line due to come onstream in the second quarter of this year.
