LONDON (CNI)--Brazilian plastics compounding company Macroplast is to expand its polyamide compounding capacity at Sao Bernardo do Campo, Sao Paulo as part of an agreement to increase production of BASF's Ultramid brand of ultraplastics.

BASF said Thursday that initially Macroplast will concentrate on black grades reinforced with fibreglass. The range will be expanded in the medium term when other engineering plastics of BASF's ultraplast product line will be added.
