LONDON (CNI)--German chemicals giant BASF said Tuesday its acrylic acid plant in Antwerp, Belgium is now fully onstream following a recent shutdown for a catalyst change.

A company spokesman told CNI the plant has been operating at a rate of "nearly 100%" since the beginning of this week.

The 160 000 tonne/year facility was closed for an “extended routine shutdown” in late July. A major part of the plant was restarted around 4 August.
