LONDON (ICIS news)--Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) from Polimeri Europa's Mantova, Italy, site could be available for sales by early next week, a company official said on Wednesday.

Production was restarted at the weekend of 26-27 November and was progressing as planned.

Polimeri was forced to close the ABS unit unexpectedly on 15 October due to a power cut at the Mantova site. The outage only concerned the Italian producer’s ABS train. Production of all other polymers was unaffected.

Force majeure was declared on ABS almost two months ago and was expected to be lifted once production is back to normal.
