LONDON (ICIS news)--The first European December toluene contract price has been agreed at $560/tonne, down $20-25/tonne from November, a buyer and seller said on Friday.
The deal was done on a free on board (FOB) Northwest Europe (NWE) basis.
The drop in price was attributed to the traditional slowdown in demand ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays as suppliers look to de-stock and consumers endeavour to close the year with limited availability mostly for tax purposes.
