LONDON (ICIS news)--Dow Europe said on Friday it would raise prices in Europe for its styrenic copolymers by Euro100/tonne effective on all shipments after 15 March.

The increases are being made against the backdrop of strong demand and high raw materials and energy costs, Dow said.

It said the increases will apply to Magnum ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene styrene) resins and Tyril SAN (styrene acrylonitrile) resins.

A company spokeswoman could not confirm current prices for these products. However, price discovery service, ICIS-LOR, said on Friday that February spot prices for neutral ABS in Europe were in the range Euro1,420 to Euro1,500/tonne free delivered Northwest Europe (FD NWE). Prices had not moved significantly since the start of the year despite some market tightness.
