Wilmar buys 51% of PT Asiatic Persada for $11m

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Singapore’s Wilmar International said on Thursday it has acquired a 51% stake in Indonesian palm oil plantation owner PT Asiatic Persada for $11m (€9m).

 

The deal is part of a wider conditional sale and purchase agreement with Australia’s Pacific Rim Oil Limited (PRPOL).

 

ICIS news had earlier reported that Wilmar has plans to build two more biodiesel plants in Riau, Indonesia, bringing its total biodiesel production capacity to 1.05m tonnes/year.
