Dow closes Hyperlast acquisition

LONDON (ICIS news)--Dow Polyurethanes has completed the acquisition of British Vita’s polyurethane systems business Hyperlast, the US-based chemicals major said on Wednesday.

The Hyperlast acquisition includes elastomer systems enterprises in the UK and North America as well as Autothane, a manufacturer of advanced automotive suspension components.

Dow said it was planning to buy Hyperlast on 5 March pending regulatory approval.

The company said the addition of Hyperlast would expand Dow’s ability to produce innovative spray cast elastomers for the marine, engineering resin, oil and gas pipeline and automotive industries.
